Kirsty has significant experience in leading and managing teams in both small business, as well as large scale corporate environments, in both the Financial Services and Banking Sectors, as well as owning and operating a personal training studio within the health and fitness industry.

Her background has enabled her to be in a unique position where she is able to provide end to end account and project management experience, with a strong focus on compliance and governance (having served as a Responsible Manager under a Australian Financial Services License reporting to the Board of Compliance and Directors). In addition, she has the experience in leading and managing high performing teams in both inbound, outbound and face to face customer service and sales activities, which provides a platform for her to be able to share her passion for people management and leadership development.

Kirsty is looking forward to working closely with all staff at AASP, and will be able to be utilised as additional support for the Management Teams, whilst assisting Jane (Director) in her role in what ever capacity is required.

Danika Maher

Danika is an Early Childhood Educator. She works in the Central Coast region. She supports families at the Blue Haven Community playgroup and spends time educating clients in Baby Sign and Key Word Sign.

Danika completed her degree in Early Childhood Education and utilises these skills in her role as a Speech Pathology Assistant and presenter. Danika is passionate about early language and is motivated to teach other educators so that we can more effectively understand and support children’s language development.

Andrea is based in the Central Coast and Lake Macquarie regions. She sees clients in the Charmhaven and Lake Munmorah clinics as well as making home and preschool visits.

Andrea also spends time working closely with the teachers at Kanwal Public School to support students with their oral and written language development.

For Andrea, Speech Pathology offers a great mix between health and education. She enjoys the variety of working with toddlers up to the elderly and is passionate about community involvement through playgroups, workshops and school partnerships. Andrea has a Certificate 4 in Work Health and Safety and utilises this in her role supporting our Human Resources Officer at @aaspeech

Shaylee Hilton

Shaylee graduated from the University of Newcastle with the University Medal and Faculty Medal for Speech Pathology. You’ll find her in the Central Coast region.

Shaylee was motivated to pursue a career in Speech Pathology as she is passionate about working with children and families and finds it rewarding to watch their progress as they grow. Shaylee enjoys working within schools and is a based at both Woodport and Bateau Bay Public Schools, educating teachers and supporting clients within the school setting.

Shaylee has a keen interest in technology and has explored this by developing her knowledge of eye gaze communication systems. In addition to training her colleagues at All Areas, Shaylee is currently providing information about suitability, assessments, training and technology set-up for several Central Coast families. You’ll find Tessa in the Port Stephens region, at Tanilba Bay and Raymond Terrace. Tessa supports families at the Steps to School playgroup in Raymond Terrace.

This program is part of the Communities for Children initiative through KU Services/Smith Family to provide children and families with the skills needed to transition effectively within the school environment.

Tessa first became interested in Speech Pathology in year 10 as part of work her work experience, and fell in love with the profession. Her favourite part about being a Speech Pathologist is being able to help people of all ages and the ability to work with children all the way through to adults

You’ll find Melanie in the Central Coast region- Charmhaven and Niagara Park, working in the clinic, at schools, preschools and also visiting clients at their homes.

Melanie is part of the Goodstart Enhancing Children’s Outcomes (ECHO) program based at Goodstart Early Learning in Blue Haven one day each week.

Melanie is a qualified Early Childhood Educator and after working with children for many years she decided to expand her qualifications and train as a Speech Pathologist. Her biggest inspiration for this career choice is her own child with special needs. Melanie’s area of interest is early language development- “I am passionate about supporting and empowering families to help their children to become effective communicators during the formative years of their life. Speech Pathology is an exciting field with many challenges and opportunities and allows me to work with people and their families across all different ages and capabilities. Each and every day I am so lucky that I am able to make a positive different in people’s lives and to be able to share the joy with clients and their families when they reach their goals”.

Melanie facilitates the Speech Pathology Supported Playgroup at Dolphin Cottage on Wednesdays. She is trained in Key Word Sign and Audiometry screening

Skye loves her job because every person that she sees has a different story, life stage and goals. Being part of their story as clients grow, achieve goals is one of the best things about being a Speech Pathologist for Skye. She particularly loves helping build relationship between children and parents and making therapy fun.

After learning all about Speech Pathology as a career, Cassie quickly decided that it was the path for her! Cassie is passionate about building partnerships, and works closely with the teachers, students and support staff at Blue Haven Public School, Killarney Vale Public School and Bateau Bay Public School.

“I love working with Kindergarten students where I can really see such amazing progress and change”. Along with teachers, principals and SLSO staff, Cassie also finds it rewarding to build relationships and work holistically with families to meet individual goals. Working together enables Cassie to support students both in the school and home environments.

When she’s not meeting with clients in schools, you’ll find Cassie in the Central Coast region and at the Charmhaven and Erina clinics.

Sheree works closely with her colleagues supporting a team of students and teachers at Mannering Park Public School.

Sheree initially became interested in Speech Pathology as it had the perfect mix between language and science. She is passionate about working with children and enjoys being able to be creative and have fun within her sessions. Sheree strongly believes that everyone has the right to communicate and loves that her role as a Speech Pathologist enables her to support clients and families to communicate.

Emma is based in the Central Coast region and keeps herself busy doing clinic, school and preschool visits around the Coast.

Emma is based out of the Erina clinic and spends three days a week supporting students and teachers at Kanwal Public School.

Emma has a passion for working with children with a disability and working with young children to develop early language. Emma also loves developing literacy skills of school-aged children. One of Emma’s favourite things about being a Speech Pathologist is making a difference to individuals and supporting families on their journey.

Before graduating as a Speech Pathologist Emma worked as a Swim Teacher and taught children with a disability how to swim. She utilises the skills she learnt in the pool in her career as a Speech Pathologist!

Emily sees clients in the Charmhaven and Lake Munmorah clinics. She also visits clients in aged care facilities, at their home or at school. Emily is currently on Parenting Leave in 2020.

Along with a degree in Speech Pathology, Emily also holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science from the University of Newcastle. She has a strong passion for working with children and adults with disabilities and has experience working in the disability sector as a community support worker and accommodation coordinator. She is able to utilise her experience and skills in her role supporting clients and families as a Speech Pathologist.

Emily strongly believes that communication is a basic human right and that everyone should have a voice. Emily loves her job as a speech pathologist - “ It is so rewarding seeing clients reach their communication goals”

Zoe chose to become a Speech Pathologist after experiencing Speech Pathology within her own family- Zoe's brother was able to overcome some speech difficulties after utilising Speech Pathology services and this inspired Zoe to want to help others. Zoe enjoys helping children achieve their communication goals and supporting parents along the way!

Zoe has a keen interest in paediatric feeding and enjoys using Key Word Signing with her clients.

Todd Keys

Todd Keys has been working in Professional Musical Theatre for 15 years with some of the industry's biggest names including Dame Julie Andrews, Sir Richard E Grant, Lisa McCune, Kate Cebrano, and Christine Anu. He has spent time touring Asia and Australia with companies such as ‘Sydney Symphony Orchestra’, ‘The Gordon Frost Organisation’ and ‘Opera Australia’.

Todd recently completed his studies in Vocal Coaching with ‘The Voice College’ in London and is excited to be passing on these skills and techniques to his students at AAMusic.

Todd now works as a Speech Pathology Assistant alongside Jane Beale and other Speech Pathologists, Musicians and Educators as part of the All Areas team. Todd is able to provide vocal coaching and music exploration sessions for clients and their families using a team intervention approach.

Todd is well known on the Central Coast, including working locally with people of all abilities and backgrounds at Options Theatre company. He believes that everyone, from all backgrounds and abilities can learn to sing or use their voice effectively. He is passionate about utilising music and the voice to provide supportive and inclusive strategies to students.

You’ll find Todd at the West Gosford Clinic on the Central Coast and at the Options Theatre Company (Post School Program) in Tuggerah. Todd provides Singing lessons, Vocal Coaching, Acting Coaching and Audition, Interview and HSC Exam preparation.

Dion is an Education Project Officer at @aaspeech. Dion is located at Erina, Lake Munmorah and Charmhaven clincs and schools in the Central Coast region.

Dion works as part of our client services team not only as a Speech Pathology Assistant, but also as an Educator as part of All Areas Education and as a Vocal Coach within All Areas Music. He has had extensive vocal training for 10+ years, performing at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre and Laycock St theatre as a featured soloist, MC/Host and as part of ensembles. He then completed his Bachelor of Education/Bachelor of Arts (Music) and started teaching with the NSW Department of Education and Communities. Dion now works at All Areas Speech Pathology, where he not only helps students at their point of need in literacy and numeracy, he also gets to share his vocal/performance skills and techniques with those who are passionate about singing.

Meet Mel, Senior Speech Patholgist at AASpeech. Mel has been working as a Speech Pathologist for the last 17 years before joining the AASpeech team and you’ll find her in our Central Coast clinics around the Niagara Park region.

Mel was originally drawn to a career in Speech Pathology after completing work experience in Year 10. She has always enjoyed working with children and families, and takes pride in being able to help make positive changes in their lives.

Paediatric feeding is one of Mel’s favourite clinical populations to work with - from tiny newborns with breast and bottle feeding difficulties, to older babies transitioning to solids and more textured foods, as well as older children with food aversions and texture preferences.

Mel is a mum to 2 children who are great critics when she’s trying out a new therapy activity or devising a new language game!

Nicole is a part of the Hunter North/West team. You’ll find her based at our East Maitland and Singleton clinics as well as at preschools/schools in the surrounding areas.

Nicole first found an interest in Speech Pathology during a work experience placement with a Speech Pathologist and was encouraged by the difference that an increased ability to communicate can make in a person’s quality of life. She loves working with clients and their families together to reach their communication goals. Nicole graduated from the University of Newcastle with First Class Honours for her research on the production of ‘k’ and ‘g’ in school-aged children and was awarded the Speech Pathology Australia Student Award in her final year.
